Welcome, my name is René van den Berg.
Ever since I can remember I have been concerned with why we get sick. Why do we get high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, etc.? Is this due to bad genes or dumb luck?

Why are we the only animal species on earth that get these diseases? Why don’t lions or elephants get diabetes, osteoporosis, obesity or high blood pressure?

And why is there also so much difference geographically, while in Western society one in three people will have a heart attack, in Africa, for example, it is almost non-existent.

Do these people have better genes than us or is it perhaps something in our environment that makes us sick?
Through studies in traditional Chinese medicine and orthomolecular nutrition, I try to find answers to these questions. I would like to share with you what I have learned over the past few years to improve chronic conditions and even recover from them.
